Why Miranda Exists
From Loss to Legacy
In 1999, Miranda Faith was killed four days before her fourth birthday. Her mother, Kris Barney, channeled that unimaginable loss into the Miranda Faith Memorial Foundation — a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that empowers survivors of domestic violence through education, scholarships, and advocacy.
But like most small foundations, MFMF ran on spreadsheets, a Wix site, and manual processes. The tools that exist for nonprofits are either too expensive (Salesforce, Blackbaud), too fragmented (Sheets + Mailchimp + Stripe + QuickBooks), or too limited (donation-form-only tools like Donorbox).
Miranda — the platform — was born from that gap. One integrated system for managing donors, collecting donations, sending communications, and administering scholarships. Built for the foundations that can't afford a six-figure CRM but deserve better than a spreadsheet.
